Material tests are conducted on individual materials ranging from reinforcing bars to factory produced interlock materials and concrete blocks. Material tests include reinforcing bars tensile strength as well as the behavior of steel during testing and predicting performance of the material after being used for construction.

CEL has also engaged and is currently working with factories that produce a variety of materials for construction. Examples of such materials are interlock materials, concrete blocks, various brick types as well as other material types. Samples are constantly taken of the materials produced and tested. The tests are performed in order to ensure that the production lines provide homogenity between their products as well as achieving the required material properties of their products.
