Road and asphalt testing involves coring samples from existing roads and performing the necessary tests to determine the road material properties as well as the effects of creep and wear and tear. It also involves developing asphalt mix designs prior to asphalt placement. CEL also conducts tests on the grade and subgrade in order to ensure that all the layers of the road design are in conformance with AASHTO standards.

All the tests on asphalt and road samples are performed at out accredited laboratories. These involve Marshall tests and Los Angeles tests amongst others.

CEL also performs all the required pavement tests according to the type of pavement used.
